Minnesota Zoo to Host 2nd Annual “Tiger Tracks 5K and Kids’ Run” Apple Valley, MINN – August 25, 2009: – Lace-up your running shoes and head to the Minnesota Zoo for its second annual “Tiger Tracks 5K and Kids’ Run” on Saturday, August 29, 2009. All proceeds from the run support the Zoo’s conservation programs. Bring the whole family for a brisk morning run, then slow down the pace and enjoy a day at the Zoo. This wild run will start at the Puma Pavilion; weave into the Zoo, and around the Northern Trail. The race course has been certified. Tiger Tracks Schedule of Events:7 a.m. Registration opens 8 a.m. 5K Run begins 8:45 a.m. Kids’ Run begins (distances are ½ mile and 1 mile) 9 a.m. Minnesota Zoo opens Participants can pre-register online at mnzoo.org. Registration fee includes admission to the Zoo, T-shirt, and refreshments. Prizes will also be awarded. To volunteer for Tiger Tracks, visit mnzoo.org.
