Development Intern - Events Minnesota Zoo Foundation The Development Intern for Events assists the Minnesota Zoo Foundation with various projects including event planning and coordination, donor mailings, special projects, database management, prospect research and analysis, and writing assistance. This internship offers a broad range of hands-on learning opportunities in a major development office. Hours: 10-25/week Key Responsibilities
How to Apply Experience and Qualifications EDUCATION: High school diploma required. Currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor degree with a major or related course work in non profits, business, or related field. EXPERIENCE: Prior paid or volunteer clerical or administrative support experience in a non-profit, education or cultural environment a plus. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY: Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, excellent phone manner and communication skills, ability to work well under pressure and to deadline. Computer aptitude required, with Microsoft Office experience preferred. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge software helpful. A flexible team-worker. Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. EQUIPMENT OPERATED: Computers, printers, telephone, calculator and other general office equipment.
