Red pandas face serious threats in the wild—especially from human encroachment and agriculture—and are absent from much of their original range.

The Minnesota Zoo is working with other zoos around the country to maintain a healthy, genetically-diverse captive population.  Together, we have learned how to best care for them, increasing their life spans and reproduction in zoos.  Field research is underway to learn more, with the hope of someday reintroducing zoo-bred pandas into parts of its former range.

Your gift will help us provide the best possible care for our red pandas and for all of the animals at the Minnesota Zoo, while also continuing our conservation efforts both here at home and around the world.

Your $50 sponsorship includes:
