Polydamas Swallowtail

Habitat: Disturbed habitats such as cleared areas among new growth, gardens, fields.
Range: East and West coasts of Florida, rarely to Georgia and Gulf states but common in Texas.
Facts: The Polydamas is a swallowtail that lacks “tails.” Like the Pipevine Swallowtail, it is also distastelful to birds when eaten.
