Painted Lady

Habitat: Anywhere, especially flowery meadows, parks, and mountain tops.

Range: All of North America well into subarctic regions, south to Panama.

Facts: The Painted Lady can fly up to 600 miles and be found flying far from land over the Atlantic Ocean. The forewings of this butterfly exhibit splashes of pink, giving it the name Painted Lady.
