Habitat: Open woodlands, canyons, meadows, fields, gardens, orchards, roadsides.

Range: Southern Ontario and New England, south throughout Eastern U.S. to Florida, west through Nebraska and Texas to Arizona and California, north to Oregon, south into Mexico.

Facts: The Pipevine Swallowtail is mimicked by several other butterfly species due to its unpleasant flavor when eaten by predators.
