Meadow Fritillary

Habitat: Moist meadows in wooded areas, hayfields, pastures, and streamsides.

Range: British Columbia to Quebec, south to Washington, Colorado, Missouri and North Carolina.

Facts: The Meadow Fritillary, one of the more abundant fritillaries, prefers to feed on violets and dung.
