Habitat: Sunny open areas, forest edges, glades, roads, rivers, citrus groves.

Range: Southern Canada through United States east of the Rockies through Mexico, west into Arizona and California.

Facts: The Giant Swallowtail is known as the “Orange Dog” by citrus growers who consider this butterfly to be a pest in their crops. This butterfly is one of the largest North American butterflies with a wingspan up to 6 inches.
